Unattached social networking site ISO hot search engine for profit-making play

The FT reports that MySpace is looking to hook up with Google or Microsoft for a search partnership that would net MySpace more money from on-site search. Yahoo is supposedly not so interested in getting into bed with MySpace, because they’ve got their own user-generated content plans (not, presumably, because their mothers warned them about getting into bed with MySpacers).

Thanks to the search engine marketing agency Latitude‘s COO, Richard Gregory, for the link.
