MySpace drawing out the poison
Danah Boyd is a cultural anthropologist in California who is endlessly quoted in articles and blog posts about MySpace. That’s because she is an expert on MySpace, on the digital lives of kids, and all of the associated cultural issues. With all of the talk about how potentially dangerous MySpace is for kids, a recent post from Danah provides an interesting twist: “At this point, MySpace is safer for teens than for predators.” Follow the link to read Danah’s piece. (You can also watch this video of Danah on Fox News, discussing the ‘threat’ of MySpace to teens.)
